RESCUECELL | RESCUECELL | HELLENIC RESCUE TEAM

The aim of the project was to develop a unique, easy-to-use, cost-effective, safe and reliable tool for locating victims buried under debris or snow, which would provide accuracy of their location in a fast manner. Experiences from disaster situations show that most of the victims had mobile phones with them. The aim of the RescueCell project was to develop a new accurate location system based on mobile phone signal measurements in order to create a cost-effective and portable tool for emergency investigations that could be easily installed and used.

DOTSOFT and the Hellenic Rescue Team have set up a joint R&D team to participate in this project.

DOTSOFT undertook the work package 1 WP1: “System Specifications” and contributed significantly to all the R&D and software development tasks of the project. In addition, he assisted the Hellenic Rescue Team in the work package 6 WP6: “Validation of Technologies & Demonstration Works”
