ΝΑΪΑΔΕΣ – INTEGRATED RESILIENCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Detailed description of project

The ΝΑΪΑΔΕΣ project (Integrated Resilience and Environmental Risk Management System) introduces an innovative, AI-powered digital platform designed to monitor, predict, and manage environmental crises with precision and speed. By integrating generative artificial intelligence with next-generation networking, ΝΑΪΑΔΕΣ leverages real-time data from IoT sensors, UAVs, and open environmental datasets to construct digital twins of geographic areas prone to environmental threats. These digital replicas enable early detection and rapid assessment of risks such as wildfires, floods, pollution, and infrastructure vulnerability. The system incorporates advanced analytics, computer vision, and predictive algorithms to generate microclimate profiles and identify critical intervention points. A key differentiator of ΝΑΪΑΔΕΣ is its decision-support functionality, which empowers civil protection authorities and local stakeholders with actionable insights, allowing for proactive environmental risk mitigation. The project contributes to climate resilience by enhancing resource coordination, enabling crisis response, and supporting long-term sustainability planning across multiple sectors.

Type and scope of work provided

  • Development of an integrated digital platform combining generative AI, digital twins, and next-generation IoT.

  • Real-time collection and processing of multimodal data from sensors, UAVs, and satellite feeds.

  • Design of predictive models for early detection of environmental hazards and crisis simulation.

  • Creation of microclimate profiles and infrastructure vulnerability assessments for targeted geographic areas.

  • Deployment of decision-support tools for public authorities and crisis management teams.

ΝΑΪΑΔΕΣ empowers stakeholders with real-time environmental intelligence, bridging data collection with predictive insight to enhance the resilience of ecosystems, infrastructure, and communities. Its scalable architecture allows for expansion across urban, rural, and forested regions, making it a powerful tool for climate adaptation and risk preparedness.

This project is carried out withing the framework of the National recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0 funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU (Project No ΥΠ3ΤΑ-0560460 – budget 1.800.000€) – https://digitalsme.gov.gr
